Chapter 1:
It was a warm summer morning when Ashlee finally crawled out of bed. “Why do I always have to do the books?” she whined as she got herself dress in her loose fitting jeans and a black lace chemise. Pulling up her dark brown hair she walked to her kitchen. Pushing the button of her coffee machine that she prepared last night, she fed her dog and turned on the TV.
Looking up at the time, it was nearing 10:30 am when she turned off the news and poured herself a mug of coffee. Heading for the door she grabbed the dog leash and whistled “Jax, come on boy. Let’s go!” She heard his nails sliding on the floor and his chains clinging as he ran towards her. He was a two-year-old rottwieler; she had found him in an alley one night after she was coming home from work. She brought him home and fell in love with him.
